One Horsepower

Another way that Cubans get around out in the countryside is horse-drawn (or ox-drawn) carts. These can be seen mingling with the traffic on main roads as well as along the quieter byways.

A Cuban cliche perhaps, but my take on it. Or at least one of my takes on it since a good proportion of the pictures I took in Cuba feature classic American cars. Just an irresistable subject for me, and if I went back I’d just carry on doing it.

Night Bus

Looking up into one of the weeping willow trees along the riverbank at Ely. A couple have very recently been pollarded but this one must have been cut back a year or two ago.

The effect in black and white is like a sci-fi monster, or a neural map.
