Tales of the Riverbank

Statement of Intent

I have long been a visitor to the Great Ouse at Ely, Cambridgeshire, but much more so since I moved to a house only 200 metres away last year. This place draws me such that, in all weathers, I will significantly detour on a journey to the shops to walk along the riverside path. I am at my happiest observing the river scenery, and those who work and play here.

By carrying my camera often and capturing what and who I see, I hope to give you an opportunity to share my enjoyment and understand what I love about being here.

Each season brings a change of activity and atmosphere. Soon there will be autumn leaves, rowers training, and the early-evening glow from the Cutter Inn, but this set of twelve captures what I have noticed happening during the hot parched summer of 2022.
