An odd coincidence that I should jokingly title the photo below ‘Half Mast’ only a couple of days before Queen Elizabeth died.

To mark the end of an era, here is the Union Jack flying at half mast over Ely Cathedral on the day of the Queen’s funeral.

This cheese tastes much nicer than it smells. It made the whole kitchen reek of sweaty feet for a few days before it got eaten.
It was necessary to put on protective clothing just to open it up and check it out.

From the Ely & District Model Railway Club‘s recent exhibition. I feel sure that the Station Master is explaining that the next train is due in ten minutes.

Incidentally, when was it during my lifetime that the railway station became the train station? I must have missed that memo.
